Lynn Hutchinson

Board Chair

Lynn Hutchinson is a musician, educator, and creative entrepreneur.

Growing up in choral culture, Ms. Hutchinson sang with the St. Olaf Choir and under the baton of Robert Shaw. She holds degrees in Piano Performance and Music Theory and studied orchestration at Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

As a collaborative pianist, she has performed with members of the LA Phil, LA Opera, and MN Orchestra, at venues across Los Angeles, and the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Her chamber and orchestral music arrangements have been performed across the globe.

A thirty-year advocate for community music, Ms. Hutchinson founded an underground chamber music concert series called Canvas, creating original programs that brought musicians, artists, scientists, and historians together to explore music’s role in our shared humanity. Canvas attracted over two thousand unique attenders and was invited by organizations across the country to bring Canvas programs to performance venues, schools, and community centers.

Ms. Hutchinson is honored to support VOX's work and its community of singers, partners, and audience members by serving on the board.
