Nellie Sims
Board Member
Nellie A. Sims is currently the Director of Gift Planning at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the largest and oldest organization providing services for LGBT people. Nellie is a trust and estate planning attorney and previously spent over 20 years in the banking industry. Most recently she was Senior Vice President at Bank of America Private Bank.
Nellie enjoys working with prospective and current donors and assists them navigate the opportunities and challenges in their lives that encompass their families, businesses, and philanthropic interests. She has particular depth in addressing the needs of the LGBTQ community.
Originally from Monroe, LA, Nellie earned her B.A. from Centenary College, and her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law. She is active in the Los Angeles Charitable Gift Planning Council and is a former national board member of Lambda Legal Education and Defense Fund. She is a member of the Princeton Parents of Southern California.
Nellie is a long-time Vox fan, ardent music advocate, and unskilled but enthusiastic drummer.
