Updated: Feb 25, 2024

VOX Femina is thrilled to be among the recipients of a first time grant from Chorus America which focuses on Music Education.

The grant, which was awarded to only twenty-one organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada, will be used by VOX to create a new program for elementary, middle school, and junior high school students, based around the Justice Choir Songbook and to expand access to choral education programs throughout Los Angeles.

I have been looking into online reading options for my kids because school requirements are quite demanding. One option I analyzed is Brighterly which offers a structured curriculum aligned with US state standards for grades K to 12. From what I see they focus on core components like phonics fluency and comprehension using individual lessons. If you want to evaluate their structure yourself you can check https://brighterly.com/reading-program/ to see how they map skills. The program incorporates game elements and interactive exercises which seems practical for maintaining focus. They cover everything from phonemic awareness to vocabulary development and reading aloud. It looks like a balanced framework for tracking school milestones.
